FIRST STEPS

Hospitality plays a key role in the life of the church. This committee is designed to bring our congregation together at various church-wide functions throughout the year. When you step through the doors to the Fellowship Hall after a service, event or special meeting, you are greeted by the members of the Hospitality Ministry. This ministry is about making Congregants, and Visitors feel welcome and at home. The Hospitality Committee members place food and drinks out and greet everyone with a smile. The Hospitality Ministry shows the loving face of Unity.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS

"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household." Ephesians 2:19

A way to learn more about New Hope Christian Ministries is our "New Members Class". This class is designed to give new and/or prospective members the chance to explore what it means to be a Christian, the doctrine/beliefs of the ministry, and New Hope’s foundation. To be a full operational member of New Hope Christian Ministries, this class is required of all new members. The class is taught once a week by First Lady Leaphart every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.

BAPTISM

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20

Baptism is a Christian ordinance that symbolizes the death of the old nature of sin (our carnal selves) and a resurrection to a new life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-8). It also symbolizes the cleansing power of His blood and an out-ward testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus. Baptismal services are held on a monthly basis. Dates will be announced in our Website.

BABY DEDICATION

“And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." Luke 2:22

Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which parents and families make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God’s will, and to raise that child according to God’s Word and God’s ways. Baby Dedication services are held every other month. Dates will be announced in our Website
